Help FLOODLIT.org raise awareness worldwide about sexual abuse in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS/Mormon church).

Whether you’re an active LDS church member, a member who attends Mormon activities occasionally, or someone who isn’t a member of the LDS church but cares about its people, FLOODLIT.org needs your help to “Light Your Stake.”

You can:

  • Get notified when a person listed in the FLOODLIT database moves into your local area
  • Research the history of sexual abuse in your stake/area, including the way stake presidents and bishops have handled reports of abuse
  • Report past/present cases of abuse
  • Watch for new abuse cases
  • Conduct local online and in-person events to raise awareness, whether by talking with local LDS leaders/members or local new organizations, or via peaceful demonstrations

The goal of this program is to help prevent and address abuse by informing people at the local level about the past and present of sex abuse in the LDS church … right where abuse has happened and may be happening.

We’ll adjust to your personal comfort level and your relationship to the Mormon church and LDS culture.

To sign up as a Light Your Stake volunteer, please fill out the interest form below and we’ll get back to you soon with program information so you can get started. Thank you!

Time to shine a light in YOUR area! Many lights make the world #FLOODLIT!
