LDS church member and scout leader Phillip K. Rimmasch was convicted of child sexual abuse and placed on the BSA files.
In the files a letter to Paul Ernst, BSA National Council from K. Hart Bullock, Scout Executive stated:
“During the past two weeks we have investigated this and have visited in confidence with the Bishop of the LDS ward that sponsors the Cub Scout pack. The Bishop was disturbed that this matter has risen again stating that the man had paid for the alleged offense and his life was in order.”
