Case report

Charles Edward Richmond was a mormon in Kansas that over a period of 4 years sexually abused a girl which started at age 8. In order to protect her cousin from abuse from Richmond, she reported her ongoing abuse. Richmond who had fled to Florida had to be extradited back to Kansas. Richmond took a plea deal in exchange for his plea to one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, prosecutors dismissed counts of rape and sodomy. According to a Floodlit source Richmond was excommunicated for his abuse. The victims mother while in court said there were 6 other victims Richmond sexually abused. He sentenced to life with no chance at parole for 25 years.

1. Rape; Offender is 18 or older and victim is < 14 YOA

2. Aggravated criminal sodomy; Offender 18 or older and child <14

3. Aggravated indecent liberties w child; Offender =>18 fondle child <14
