was an LDS church member in Mississippi; accused of sexual abuse; convicted

Case report

Thomas Forrest was first counselor in the Waveland Mississippi Ward bishopric when he was arrested for molesting an underage girl, our sources say. He pleaded guilty. He reportedly avoided jail due to Hurricane Katrina.

As of February 2023, Forrest served as ward clerk in the same LDS ward as before his arrest, and had access to all keys and rooms in the chapel building.
