Summary

Louis Darrell Kinyon was an LDS member living in Provo, Utah. Kinyon was caught with pornographic material on his computer at work and was suspended.  During a meeting to discuss his suspension Kinyon flew into a rage and left work to drive home.  Returned back to work with a hand gun and 30 rounds of ammunition.  He returned to work shot his supervisor dead, then shot himself in the head.  An unsuccessful suicide.  Kinyon was charged with aggravated murder and was sentenced to life in prison.

Kinyon made a plea deal where the sex crime charge was dropped to avoid the possibility of the death penalty.

SENTENCE PRISON
Based on the defendant’s conviction of AGGRAVATED MURDER a Capital, the defendant is sentenced to life in prison without parole.
COMMITMENT is to begin immediately. The court will accept payment tendered on the date of sentencing for any amount the defendant owes arising from this order. The court hereby transfers responsibility for collection of any remaining balance of the criminal accounts receivable to the Office of State Debt Collection.
To the UTAH County Sheriff: The defendant is remanded to your custody for transportation to the Utah State Prison where the defendant will be confined.
Defendant appears in custody of the Utah County Sheriff.
