Russell Crosland (1962 – ) was a Mormon church member in Fillmore, Utah; tried meeting with a person he thought was a 13-year-old child that he chatted with online for sex; it was an undercover agent; he was arrested.

Russell George Crosland was a mormon in Fillmore, Utah. Crosland chatted with a person online, which he thought was a 13 year old girl. He spoke very suggestively to her and tried meeting up with her in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was arrested as part of a sting operation and had been chatting with an under cover agent instead. And admitted he stopped at a gas station to pick up condoms which he planned to use to have sex with his victim.

Crosland was sentenced to 48 months of supervised probation. And is a registered sex offender.
