Arnel Baird (1958 – ) was a Mormon church member in and optometrist in Idaho Falls, Idaho; convicted of lewdness involving a child and sex abuse of a child; sex abuse of a child charge was stayed after he completed probation successfully; was a doctor of optometry in Pocatello, Idaho.

Dr. Arnel Roy Baird was a Mormon in Idaho Falls, Idaho and former optometrist.  According to court documents in 1993 Baird sexually abused a child, charges were brought against him in 1996.

Neither license in Utah show any disciplinary actions against him,  “No disciplinary actions, or no disciplinary actions within the time frame established in Utah Code 63G-4-106 & 107** found for this search.” A search on Utah State Legislature showed there were multiple reasons this could be, one of which it has been more than 5 years since the date the final order was issued.

In May 2011 Baird filed a motion with the court to request a removal from the sex offender registry and an expungement of his record.  In June 2011 the court scheduled his hearing to be in August of 2011.  In July 2011 Baird removed his request for removal from the sex offender registry and expungement of record and the case was dismissed.
