Alan Robert MacAlevy was a Mormon church member in Shelton, Washington.
MacAlevy pleaded guilty to child molestation in the first degree a 5-year-old girl July 1990-July 1991.
Alan MacAlevy was convicted in 1992, and was sentenced to 68 months, 24 months probation.
According to online reports he served his prison sentence in a Washington State prison.
According to a person familiar with MacAlevy’s case, MacAlevy’s wife ran a daycare from their home. The 5-year-old victim was one of the children at her daycare, that also attended the same LDS ward with the MacAlevys. In addition, they reported there were other children, some very young and infants that they say Alan sexually abused too, but was never convicted for those abuses. They also reported prior to MacAlevy’s arrest he attended the Shelton 1st Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints regularly with his family and held callings in the ward.
