Benjamin Brady (1998 – ) was a Mormon church member; convicted in Benjamin Beau Brady, an assistant coach at Maple Mountain High School, offered two 17 year old girls alcohol in exchange for sex, then abused them in his truck in Provo; He was fired and charged with forcible sodomy and sexual abuse, but pleaded down to lesser charges; is a registered sex offender living in Mapleton, Utah as of Sept. 2026.

Benjamin Beau Brady (of Mapleton, Utah) was an assistant basketball coach at Maple Mountain High School in the Nebo School District.

On November 1, 2025, Brady contacted a 17 year old girl on Snapchat and offered to buy her and her 17 year old friend alcohol and give them money for food if one of them had sex with him. The girl agreed. Her friend came along but told police she didn’t want to do anything with him; Brady said he wanted her there anyway. The three met in a church parking lot in Provo and got into the back of Brady’s truck, where he sexually abused both girls. Afterward, he gave them alcohol and left.

Provo Police began investigating on November 11, 2025, about a week after the girls came forward. During questioning, Brady used the alias “Carson” and admitted meeting with one of the girls multiple times, but declined to describe what happened in the truck, saying only that everything was consensual. He denied giving them alcohol, saying they may have taken it from his vehicle themselves.

Brady was arrested and charged in February 2026 with two counts of forcible sodomy (first degree felony), four counts of forcible sexual abuse (second degree felony), and two counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor (class A misdemeanor). His case was moved from 4th District Court to 3rd District Court after judicial officers recused themselves, reportedly because Brady’s father had previously served as a judge in the 4th District. The Nebo School District fired Brady on February 5, 2026, once it learned of the allegations.

On March 31, 2026, Brady pleaded guilty to two amended counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a 16/17 year old (reduced to third degree felonies) and the two alcohol counts. The forcible sodomy and forcible sexual abuse charges were dismissed with prejudice as part of the plea.

In June 2026, a judge sentenced Brady to home confinement followed by four years of probation, suspending a potential prison term.

Brady is a registered sex offender living in Mapleton, Utah as of September 2026.

    PROVO — A former Maple Mountain High School coach who admitted to engaging in a sexual act with two 17-year-old girls and providing them alcohol will spend time in home confinement before a lengthy probation after pleading guilty.

    Benjamin Beau Brady, 28, was sentenced on June 8 to two terms of zero to five years in prison for unlawful sexual conduct with a 17-year-old, a third-degree felony, and two terms of one year in jail for furnishing alcohol to a minor, a class A misdemeanor.

    Those sentences were suspended and he was instead ordered to serve 130 days in home confinement, in addition to the 50 days in jail he already served, before beginning four years of probation. The man was also ordered comply with group A sex offender conditions, including registering as a sex offender.

    Brady, who worked as an assistant basketball coach, was fired from his position on Feb. 5, "as soon as the district learned of the allegations" according to a Nebo School District spokesman.

    Charing documents said the man contacted a 17-year-old girl on Snapchat and said he would provide her and her friend alcohol if they met him in a parking lot and engaged in sexual acts. The girl agreed, but charges said her friend "did not want to do anything" but agreed to go to the parking lot. The three met in Provo and got into the back of Brady's truck, where he sexually abused both girls, charges claim.

    "When he was done, he gave them alcohol and left," they said.

    Provo police were contacted a week later. Brady admitted to officers that he had met up with one teenager multiple times, also meeting her friends on multiple times. He did not tell police what happened in the truck but said everything that happened was consensual.

    The mother and father of the girls read statements at the sentencing, along with Brady, court records show.

    On June 24, 3rd District Judge Joel Ferre amended the sentence to clarify what restrictions will exist after receiving questions. He specified that Brady would be able to stay at his home with his two children, ages 2 and 4, but could only be with them if an approved responsible adult is also present. Outside of his children, he was ordered to not contact any others under 18 years old or go to places where children congregate unless approved.

    During home confinement, he is allowed to travel for work, medical, religious, legal or therapeutic purposes, when approved by Adult Probation and Parole.

    Brady pleaded guilty to the charges in March. Charges of forcible sodomy, a first-degree felony, and three counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony, were dismissed as part of a plea deal. Additional charges of forcible sodomy and forcible sexual abuse were reduced to unlawful sexual conduct, a third-degree felony, before he pleaded guilty.

    Utah County prosecutors also agreed as part of the plea deal to not ask for the prison sentence to be imposed, and to support releasing Brady from jail when the plea was entered.

    Although the allegations were centered around actions in Utah County, the case was handled in the 3rd District Court after judicial officers recused themselves because of connections with Brady's father, a former 4th District Court judge.

    PROVO, Utah (ABC4) — A now-fired assistant basketball coach from Maple Mountain High School has been charged with sexually abusing two 17-year-olds in exchange for alcohol.

    Benjamin Beau Brady, 27, of Mapleton, has been charged with four counts of forcible sexual abuse, two counts of forcible sodomy, and two counts of unlawfully furnishing alcohol to minors. After charges were filed, the case was transferred because several court officials recused themselves.

    According to court documents, in November 2025, Brady allegedly contacted two 17-year-old girls over Snapchat and offered to “buy them alcohol and give them food” if one of them engaged in sexual activity with him.

    Brady met with the two teenagers in Provo. The girls got into his truck, and he engaged in sexual relations with them. Afterward, he allegedly gave them alcohol, and they “went their separate ways.”

    One of the victims told police that she “did not want to do anything with [Brady], but he said he wanted her there.”

    The Provo Police Department began investigating the Nov. 11, 2025, incident and identified Brady as the man involved. Police made contact with Brady and brought him in for an interview.

    Brady allegedly told officers that he was friends with one of the victims and said she was 18 years old. He declined to provide any details about what happened in the truck but claimed it was “all consensual.”

    When asked about the alcohol, Brady stated that he did not give it to them, but they may have taken it out of his vehicle because he sometimes keeps alcohol in there.

    Brady was arrested, booked into the Utah County Jail, and then transferred to the Salt Lake County Jail, where he is being held without bail.

    According to a statement from a spokesperson for the Nebo School District, Seth Sorenson, Brady was an assistant basketball coach at Maple Mountain High School.

    “He was terminated on February 5th, 2026, [for] the safety and security of our students,” Sorenson stated. “As soon as the District learned of the allegations, the individual was immediately terminated.”

    The case was transferred to the 3rd District Court shortly thereafter "due to the recusal of judicial officers in the 4th District Court," according to court documents. Brady's father was a judge in Utah's 4th District Court.

    A Nebo School District spokesman says Brady was fired on Feb. 5.

    "As soon as the district learned of the allegations, the individual was immediately terminated," district spokesman Seth Sorensen told KSL.

    On Nov. 1, Brady contacted a 17-year-old girl on Snapchat and "said he would buy her and her 17-year-old friend alcohol if they would meet with him in a parking lot" and engage in sexual acts with him, according to charging documents.

    The teen that Brady reached out to agreed, according to the charges. Her friend "did not want to do anything" with Brady but went along to the parking lot. The three met in Provo, got into the back of Brady's truck and Brady sexually abused both teens, the charges allege.

    "When he was done, he gave them alcohol and left," according to charging documents.

    About a week later, Provo police were contacted. When questioned by a detective, Brady said he went by the name "Carson" to keep his private life separate, according to a police booking affidavit.

    "I asked him what he does with his private life and he said that he didn't want to answer that question. Benjamin told me that he has met up with the one juvenile multiple times and has met with her ... friends multiple times. Benjamin said that he vaguely remembers something happening in Provo with the two victims. Benjamin would not tell me about what all happened in the truck and wanted me to tell him what happened, but did say that everything that happened in the truck was consensual," the officer wrote in the affidavit. "Benjamin later mentioned that he wants to retain a lawyer," and the questioning was stopped.

    PROVO, Utah (ABC4) — The ex-assistant basketball coach for Maple Mountain High School has been sentenced to home confinement and probation for engaging in sexual relations with two 17-year-old girls.

    In February, 28-year-old Benjamin Beau Brady of Mapleton was charged with four counts of forcible sexual abuse, two counts of forcible sodomy, and two counts of unlawfully furnishing alcohol to minors.

    Brady accepted a plea agreement on March 31, pleading guilty to two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a 16/17-year-old, which were amended down to third-degree felonies, and the two Class A misdemeanor counts of unlawfully furnishing alcohol to minors.

    The remaining charges of forcible sexual abuse and forcible sodomy were dismissed with prejudice.

    On Monday, June 8, Brady was sentenced to two terms of up to five years in prison for the felonies, and, for the misdemeanor counts, he was sentenced to serve two terms of 364 days in jail, to run concurrently with one another.

    However, those sentences were suspended, and Brady was instead ordered to serve 130 days of home confinement, with credit for 50 days previously served.

    Brady has been placed on probation for the next 48 months (four years) and must obey several conditions, such as not violating the law, paying restitution, completing sex offender treatment, and abiding by Group A sex offender conditions.

    If he violates his probation, he could ultimately serve the suspended jail or prison sentences.

    Case background

    According to court documents, in November 2025, Brady allegedly contacted two 17-year-old girls over Snapchat and offered to “buy them alcohol and give them food” if one of them engaged in sexual activity with him.

    Brady met with the two teenagers in Provo. The girls got into his truck, and he engaged in sexual relations with them. Afterward, he allegedly gave them alcohol, and they “went their separate ways.”

    One of the victims told police that she “did not want to do anything with [Brady], but he said he wanted her there.” The Provo Police Department identified Brady as the man involved and brought him in for an interview.

    Brady allegedly told officers that he was friends with one of the victims and said she was 18 years old. He declined to provide any details about what happened in the truck but claimed it was “all consensual.”

    When asked about the alcohol, Brady stated that he did not give it to them, but they may have taken it out of his vehicle because he sometimes keeps alcohol in there.

    Brady was arrested, booked into the Utah County Jail, and then transferred to the Salt Lake County Jail when his case was transferred due to several court officials recusing themselves.

    At the time he was charged, ABC4.com received a statement from a spokesperson for the Nebo School District, Seth Sorenson, who confirmed that Brady was an assistant basketball coach at Maple Mountain High School.

    “He was terminated on February 5th, 2026, [for] the safety and security of our students,” Sorenson stated. “As soon as the District learned of the allegations, the individual was immediately terminated.”
