Brandon Halley (1996 – ) Brandon Carl Halley was a Mormon church member and returned missionary who served in Canada, and who taught youth and worked in nursery in his ward in Esparto, California; was arrested, served two weeks in the county jail, and in February 2008 was charged with felony lewd acts on a child for the first incident; the second charge was reduced to a misdemeanour on the condition that he register as a sex offender for life.

Brandon Carl Halley was a Mormon church member and returned missionary who served in Canada, and who taught youth and worked in nursery in his ward in Esparto, California. On 30 June 2003 he kissed his six-year-old stepdaughter on the mouth in a manner later determined to be for his sexual gratification, and on 4 November 2005 he asked her to touch and orally copulate him.

The child disclosed in September 2007, and her mother reported it to the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office.

He was arrested, served two weeks in the county jail, and in February 2008 was charged with felony lewd acts on a child for the first incident; the second charge was reduced to a misdemeanour on the condition that he register as a sex offender for life. His former wife reported to FLOODLIT that the matter was reported to their bishop and then to the stake president, that a council disfellowshipped rather than excommunicated him, and that he remained disfellowshipped for roughly six years while on formal probation. He was re-arrested in August 2024 for failure to register and served a further three weeks with three more years of probation.
