(1944 – 2011) Edwin Allen Ethington Jr (1944-2011) was a Mormon church member and returned missionary who served in California, and who served as a bishop and a Young Men's leader in Homedale, Idaho; a grandchild of his reported to FLOODLIT that he groomed, sexualised and molested them and at least one cousin from early childhood until his death, stopping only when he became too weak from terminal cancer.

A grandchild of his reported to FLOODLIT that he groomed, sexualised and molested them and at least one cousin from early childhood until his death, stopping only when he became too weak from terminal cancer.

The household also took in foster children and children placed through the church’s Indian Student Placement Program.

The reporting person states that when they disclosed at 19, a bishop asked whether they had said no, then withdrew their temple recommend and barred them from taking the sacrament. Ethington received a temple recommend himself shortly before his death and admitted nothing.
