We’ve updated our case report on Jake Retzlaff, former starting quarterback for the Brigham Young University football team.
Today, a civil lawsuit against Retzlaff was dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be filed again.
Thanks to your donations and support, Floodlit has obtained copies of Retzlaff’s answer to the civil complaint, which he filed on June 27, as well as the joint motion to dismiss and the order to dismiss, both of which were filed today.

Retzlaff is not Mormon (he is Jewish), but we’ve been asked many times to provide clarity regarding his civil case because he plays for BYU, which is owned and operated by the Mormon church.
