FLOODLIT.ORG NEWS Nov. 25, 2025, 2:52 pm ET – On Nov. 20, Floodlit.org broke the news that Wade Christofferson, 72, of Dublin, Ohio, was being held in the Salt Lake County Jail pending federal charges related to child sexual abuse.
Today, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Ohio announced Christofferson’s arrest and charges.
After Floodlit’s breaking news report on Nov. 20, no other news outlets mentioned the story until after today’s announcement – and until nearly one hour after we published this update.
Floodlit has obtained a court document confirming the case’s existence.
According to court documents, Christofferson searched online for “In Ohio do clergy have to report child abuse confessions” and for defense attorneys who represent people accused of sex crimes.
Christofferson is a brother of Latter-day Saint apostle D. Todd Christofferson.
Floodlit is continuing to gather information in this case. For further updates in this developing story, please see Floodlit’s case report on Wade Christofferson.
