In 1978 in Venice, California, Mormon church member Keith Dunn was barred from working in the Boy Scouts of America after reportedly confessing to police that he had perpetrated child sexual abuse.
At the time, Dunn was an assistant scoutmaster in an LDS church sponsored scout troop.
Dunn was accused of sexually molesting one or more boy scouts. The alleged abuse took place in 1977-78.
A police statement said Dunn intended to speak with his LDS bishop about his “problem.”
