“LAYTON — A man who allegedly tried to engage in sexual activity with a teen girl was arrested after showing up at the arranged meeting location with a consent form, according to police.
Adam Robert Dimond, 31, of Farmington, was arrested Nov. 29 for investigation of enticing a minor, and charged in 2nd District Court on Friday with the same crime, a second-degree felony.
According to a Davis County Jail report, a Layton police officer working with the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force posed as a 13-year-old girl on the app Whisper. The undercover officer struck up a conversation with Dimond, who said he wanted to engage in sexual activity with her, the report states.
When Dimond arrived at the arranged meeting location, he was arrested by officers who were waiting for him.
“In his car was a document that he made that was a consent to have sex form,” the report states.
According to a search warrant affidavit filed in 2nd District Court, investigators were also looking at his cell phone for possible “other crimes involving children.””
