Ryan Sherry was a Mormon church member in Spanish Fork, Utah.

Sherry tried meeting a 13-year-old for sex in Provo, Utah. When he arrived, he was arrested by police in a sting operation.

Sherry was charged with four second-degree felonies, including Attempted Rape of a Child, Attempted Sodomy on a Child, Attempted Aggravated Sex Abuse of a Child, and Enticing A Minor Over the Internet.

He was convicted of FORCIBLE SEXUAL ABUSE, a 2nd Degree Felony, and ATTEMPTED – LEWDNESS INVOLVING A CHILD, a Class A misdemeanor.

He reached a plea deal in which he agreed to plead no contest to lesser charges.
