Brad Scoffield was a Mormon church member in Pocatello, Idaho.  Scoffield was convicted of sex abuse of a child under 16 years convicted 03-19-2007.

Had a no contact order granted against him in: 2006, 2007 and again in 2014.

According to a person familiar with Scoffield, he served 80 days in jail.  The person reported to Floodlit that Scoffield’s victim was their close friend at the time of the alleged abuse.  The victim was 9 years old at the time of the crime.

Floodlit’s source said an LDS stake president told the victim’s family to forgive Scoffield .  Members of the victim’s and Scoffield’s ward abandoned and avoided speaking with the victim’s family because  “it was only one time”, the source said.  The ward supported Scoffield and allowed their children to ride with Scoffield to and from church activities before the trial.  The source told Floodlit that their mother asked them and their sibling if Scoffield had abused them.  Their mother told the Young Women’s president that she had asked her own children if Scoffield had abused them.  The Young Women’s president yelled at the mother, according to our source.
