Brad Isakson (1981 – ) was a Mormon church member; charged with various charges related to child sexual abuse in March 2020; convicted in October 2020; sentenced to 3 years to life for each of his two counts, to run concurrently; Isakson is a registered sex offender living in Salt Lake City, Utah as of May 2026.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Isakson was a youth leader and allegedly sexually abused a 14-year-old boy multiple times, that he was in a position of trust over.

The probable cause affidavit states Isakson was to be charged with 8 counts of:

-four counts:  FORCIBLE SODOMY – 1st Degree Felony

-two counts: FORCIBLE SEXUAL ABUSE- 2nd Degree Felony

-one count: ENTICEMENT OF  MINOR BY INTERNET OR TEXT -second-degree felony

-one count: DEALING IN MATERIALS HARMFUL TO MINOR – 3rd Degree Felony

which is also the same charges that  KUTV 2 article reported he was charged with.

 

However, looking in the Utah Courts records in May 2026, his charges show:

-two counts: ATTEMPTED – FORCIBLE SODOMY – 1st Degree Felony(amended to) – 1st Degree Felony

-two counts: FORCIBLE SODOMY – 1st Degree Felony

-two counts: FORCIBLE SEXUAL ABUSE – 2nd Degree Felony

-two counts: DEALING IN MATERIALS HARMFUL TO MINOR – 3rd Degree Felony

-two counts: LEWDNESS – FIRST OR SECOND OFFENSE – Class B Misdemeanor

 

In October 2020, Isakson accepted a plea deal and pleaded down to:

-two counts: attempted sodomy in the first degree

 

Sentencing:

-attempted sodomy in the first degree 3 to life / to run concurrent

-attempted sodomy in the first degree / 3 to life /  to run concurrent

 

Isakson is a registered sex offender living in Salt Lake City, Utah.

    CLEARFIELD, Utah, March 7, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — A Clearfield man described as a “youth leader” has been charged on suspicion of eight felonies related to alleged abuse of a child.

    Brad Isakson, 38, was booked into the Davis County Jail on Thursday on suspicion of:

    Four counts of forcible sodomy, a first-degree felony
    Two counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony
    Enticing a minor by text, a second-degree felony
    Dealing in materials harmful to a minor, a third-degree felony

    A probable cause statement filed by an officer of the Davis County Sheriff’s Office says Isakson “occupied a position of special trust as a youth leader in relation to the 14-year-old victim.”

    Isakson allegedly touched the victim inappropriately, and caused the victim to reciprocate.

    Isakson is also charged with using text messages to entice the victim to meet him for sexual acts. A video sent to the victim contained a graphic recording, the statement says.

    Isakson’s bail has been set at $115,000.

    DAVIS COUNTY, Utah (KUTV) — A youth leader in Davis Count is facing eight felony charges -- all related to the sexual abuse and sodomy of a 14-year-old boy under his care.

    Brad Isakson, 38, held a "position of special trust" over the victim, according to a probable cause statement, although it's unclear where Isakson was a youth leader at this time.

    Clearfield Utah police say Isakson abused the boy several times with oral, anal and other sexual abuse.

    Police also say Isakson sent the boy a video of him masturbating.

    Isakson is facing the following charges:

    Four counts of forcible sodomy, all first-degree felonies
    Two counts of forcible sexual abuse, both second-degree felonies
    Enticement of a minor by internet or text, a second-degree felony
    Dealing in materials harmful to a minor, a third-degree felony.
