Evan J. LeFevre was a Mormon church member in Logan, Utah who allegedly perpetrated a sex crime in 2015 to present, possibly earlier.
Total charges: 45 felony counts across 25 separate criminal cases, all in Utah’s First Judicial District (Logan District Court, Cache County) this is a state case, not federal.
Charges breakdown:
Primary charge: forcible sexual abuse (Utah Code 76-5-404(2)+(3A)), second-degree felony; spread across most of the 25 cases, generally 1–3 counts per case.
One count of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, first-degree felony, added in the August 2026 filing, tied to a victim who was 12 in 2023.
Timeline of charges being added:
Dec. 11, 2025 — arrested.
Dec. 12, 2025 — first 2 cases filed, 4 counts.
Feb. 11, 2026 — 19 more cases added, 30 counts.
Mar. 13, 2026 — 4 more counts.
Aug. 4, 2026 — 2 more cases (including the aggravated first-degree count).
Allegations: Alleged conduct 2018-2025 during chiropractic adjustments; inappropriate touching, sexual contact under clothing, unwanted sexual comments; about 50 reports came in after his arrest went public. LeFevre reportedly told investigators he closes his eyes during adjustments and any contact was unintentional.
Status: Charged, held without bail at Cache County Jail. No trial outcome yet.

CASE NUMBER: 261100195 State Felony7 -
19. Logan chiropractor accused of sexual assault faces new charges including sexual abuse of child
LOGAN, Utah (ABC4) — The Logan chiropractor accused of sexually assaulting dozens of victims under the guise of providing help is again facing new charges, including sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
Evan J. LeFevre, 59, has been charged with new felonies in two new cases. The first involves one count of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony, and the other involves three counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony.
PREVIOUSLY: Additional charges filed against Logan chiropractor accused of sexually assaulting patientsLeFevre is now facing 46 felony charges across 26 separate cases. These charges stem from incidents dating back as far as 2018, against women of all ages and even minors.
The dozens of allegations mostly follow a similar pattern: a woman was experiencing pain and began going to LeFevre’s chiropractic practice to seek help. During a visit, LeFevre would allegedly sexually assault the woman.
The new charges filed against LeFevre on Tuesday involve two new victims. The first of whom was 12 years old at the time they were sexually assaulted.
The Logan City Police Department was contacted by a mother who stated that her minor daughter used to go to LeFevre for chiropractic services and had been inappropriately touched.
PAST COVERAGE: Logan chiropractor faces dozens of new charges, accused of sexually assaulting patientsIn 2023, the then-12-year-old was lying on her stomach during an appointment when her mother noticed that LeFevre allegedly slid his hands under her clothing and touched the child’s buttocks.
After the appointment, the victim asked her mother, “Why did he put his hands in my pants and on my butt?” She responded that she wasn’t sure because she had never been to a chiropractor before, but would not let her child go to any appointments alone.
The 12-year-old saw LeFevre a few more times, during which he only popped her back, documents say.
The other new charges brought against LeFevre, three additional counts of forcible sexual abuse, involve an adult victim who saw the chiropractor 10 times. During some of those visits, he allegedly told her that her “sternum” needed adjustment.
Logan chiropractor arrested on multiple incidents of sexual assaultLeFevre had the victim change into a scrub top and inappropriately touched her chest, skin to skin, without wearing gloves. The victim recalled that once when he did it, he was very close to her face and “breathing heavy and slow with his face right over her exposed” chest.
The victim felt that something was off, and a female assistant in the room with them looked “uncomfortable and tense.” She wondered if the chiropractor was “getting some sort of sexual pleasure” out of it, and she said that he seemed to be “more light and jovial” after the alleged adjustment.
LeFevre is currently being held at the Cache County Jail without bail.

20. Logan chiropractor arrested on multiple incidents of sexual assault
LOGAN, Utah (ABC4) — A chiropractor based in Logan was arrested on Thursday after multiple reports of sexual assault, according to Logan Police.
Evan J. LeFevre, 58, was arrested in Cache County on four counts of forcible sexual abuse (second-degree felony).
The first incident was reported back in July 2018, involving a person working at LeFevre’s chiropractic practice. While the individual was employed there, LeFevre reportedly did regular adjustments on her.
The victim told police that LeFevre touched her inappropriately and sent overtly sexual text messages to her. In speaking with police, LeFevre admitted to the text messages being sexual in nature and claimed that when he adjusts his clients, he goes “by feel” instead of watching what he’s doing.
“I close my eyes a lot so I think that maybe I’m leaving some exposure there because I’m not really watching what I’m doing, I’m feeling what I’m doing,” LeFevre said.
In another incident, a victim approached police in April 2025 stating they had been sexually assaulted by LeFevre. The individual said she had been having back problems and was a client of LeFevre’s.
The victim reported that LeFevre had touched her inappropriately for some time, and that she had become uncomfortable with the way he was adjusting her. She told police that in one session, he asked her sexual questions and she decided to leave the appointment.
LeFevre was booked into Cache County Jail on the aforementioned charges.
No further information is available at this time.

21. Logan chiropractor faces dozens of new charges alleging sex abuse of patients
KEY TAKEAWAYS
Evan J. LeFevre, a Logan chiropractor, faces 34 additional sexual abuse charges.
LeFevre is accused of inappropriately touching additional patients between 2018 and 2025.
Alleged victims reported feeling uneasy but trusted him as a medical professional, charges state.LOGAN — A Logan chiropractor already charged with inappropriately touching patients now faces dozens of new charges alleging additional sexual abuse.
Evan J. LeFevre, 58, of Mendon, Cache County, was charged in December in two separate cases with four counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony. LeFevre is the owner of LeFevre Chiropractic, which opened in 1997.
After LeFevre was arrested in December, Logan police said they received approximately 50 reports of similar accounts where patients reported experiencing inappropriate touching and comments during medical treatments.
Nineteen new cases were filed against him in 1st District Court last month charging him with 30 additional counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony. On Friday, four more charges of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony, were filed in two separate cases. The alleged offenses range from 2018 to 2025.
The arrest reports from the cases detail similar experiences: bras being unhooked without consent, lotion being used to massage areas not related to treatment and being touched underneath clothing on areas that were not related to where their pain was. Some of the patients also reported LeFevre making inappropriate comments about their bodies during adjustments.
One alleged victim had several appointments with LeFevre for shoulder and hip pain said she was touched inappropriately every single time except for one time when she brought her daughter and she was in the room during the adjustment, according to a police booking affidavit.
"Victim stated she always thought it was strange as she repeatedly told him it was the back of her shoulder which was hurting, not the front; however, he continued to work on the front," the affidavit states, adding that there were appointments for her hip pain when he "would fail to work on her hips altogether" and instead ran his hands down her back and into her underclothing.
Another woman said she brought her fiance to a second appointment after believing she had been touched inappropriately during her first visit. During that appointment, LeFevre barely spoke to either of them and she was not touched under her clothing like she was during the first visit, another affidavit says.
One woman told police LeFevre inappropriately touched her in 2023 and made the statement that he loved breasts. "During her last appointment, he told the alleged victim about his marital struggles, struggles with his religious beliefs, struggles dealing with temptation and the 'natural man.' Dr. LeFevere then asked the alleged victim, 'Is it a problem I think you're (expletive) sexy?' The alleged victim then confronted him about his inappropriate conduct and left his office and never returned," according to another police affidavit.
One woman reported she went to LeFevre in late 2021 for an issue with some of her upper ribs. She said while he was treating her, LeFevre put his hand underneath her clothes and cupped her breast while adjusting her ribs, another affidavit alleges. During a subsequent visit, she asked if he could stay on top of her clothing while doing the adjustment.
"Victim stated LeFevre became odd and the appointment was very short," the affidavit says.
Many of the alleged victims reported feeling uneasy or thinking something was wrong, "but trusted Evan as a medical professional," charging documents state.
One woman told police "she remembers feeling uncomfortable, but told herself Evan must have needed to do that," when he allegedly touched her inappropriately.
When questioned by police, LeFevre allegedly told investigators that he closes his eyes many times when giving adjustments.
"When asked about a time when he may have touched someone somewhere he should have not, Evan said he cannot think of a time he clearly intentionally did it. When asked if this could have happened while his eyes were closed Evan stated, 'Of course it's possible because clearly it happened, but (I) can honestly say 100% say it's not intentional,'" according to charging documents filed in December.
Logan police said anyone who believes they may have been a victim of sexual abuse is asked to report their experience at 435-753-7555.

22. Logan chiropractor accused of inappropriate touching
KEY TAKEAWAYS
Evan J. LeFevre, a Cache County chiropractor, faces charges of sexual abuse.
Two women accuse LeFevre of inappropriate touching since 2018 during appointments.
Logan police seek additional victims; LeFevre denies intentional misconduct during treatments.LOGAN — A Cache County chiropractor is accused of sexually abusing two women since 2018.
Evan J. LeFevre, 58, of Mendon, Cache County, was charged Friday in 1st District Court in two separate cases with a total of four counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony.
LeFevre is the owner of LeFevre Chiropractic, which opened in 1997.
In one case, an employee told investigators that in 2018, LeFevre inappropriately touched her while giving her an adjustment and would make sexually suggestive comments, according to charging documents.
When questioned by police, LeFevre told investigators that he closes his eyes many times when giving adjustments.
"When asked about a time when he may have touched someone somewhere he should have not, Evan said he cannot think of a time he clearly intentionally did it. When asked if this could have happened while his eyes were closed Evan stated, 'Of course it's possible because clearly it happened, but (I) can honestly say 100% say it's not intentional,'" the charges state.
In the second case, a woman who had been seeing LeFevre as a patient since 2022 told investigators that because of her interaction with him during an appointment in April, she began wondering about past appointments and thought, "I don't think things that have been happening have been appropriate," according to charging documents.
During her April appointment, she told LeFevre that she had been reading a book "that was a lot more adult then I thought it was gonna be." LeFevre then talked about porn during the appointment, inappropriately touched her while giving her an adjustment, and discussed sex acts, the charges state.
LeFevre was booked into the Cache County Jail on Thursday.
Logan police issued a statement on Friday, saying, "Local law enforcement records indicate there have been previous allegations against Mr. Lefevre but that they were not prosecutable as the victims at the time were not comfortable moving forward with the investigations or due to a lack of evidence. The Logan Police Department is seeking to identify any additional individuals who believe they may have been victims of sexual abuse involving Mr. Lefevre."

23. Logan chiropractor arrested on multiple sexual abuse allegations spanning years
LOGAN — A Logan chiropractor, Dr. Evan LeFevre, was arrested Thursday and booked into the Cache County Jail on two separate cases of alleged forcible sexual abuse, with officers indicating the reports are part of a pattern of alleged misconduct spanning several years.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, the Logan City Police Department and Cache County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation after receiving multiple reports of sexual abuse against LeFevre, owner of LeFevre Chiropractic.
One of the complainants was an employee who alleged that LeFevre inappropriately touched her during a chiropractic adjustment. She also claimed he had repeatedly touched her buttocks and sent her suggestive text messages.
The second alleged victim was a regular patient seeking treatment for back problems. She described similar acts of abuse, alleging LeFevre touched her inappropriately during adjustments and engaged in inappropriate sexual conversations during a session, according to charging documents.
When questioned by police, LeFevre claimed he often performs adjustments through “feel” with his eyes closed and is "extremely careful about being on breast." When asked if he could have unintentionally touched someone inappropriately while his eyes were closed, LeFevre reportedly said, "of course it's possible because clearly it happened, but can honestly ... one hundred percent say it's not intentional."
However, the jail booking documents state that there have been several reports with similar allegations against LeFevre dating back to 2018, which investigators believe shows a "pattern of conduct putting patients at risk."
LeFevre made an initial appearance Friday in Logan's 1st District Court. He was charged with four counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony. The charges are related to the two recent cases.
Judge Spencer Walsh set bail at $20,000 in each case and ordered the suspect to appear again in court January 5. He also ordered LeFevre to have no contact with the alleged accusers, and temporarily cease practicing as a chiropractor, while the cases proceed through the court system.
Authorities are continuing their investigation and are urging anyone with information related to the case or similar incidents to come forward.
Individuals arrested and charged in complaints are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.

24. Chiropractor arrested in northern Utah after multiple reports of sexual assault
LOGAN, Utah (KUTV) — A chiropractor in Logan was arrested after police said they received multiple reports of sexual abuse spanning the last several years.
Dr. Evan LeFevre, 58, was arrested Thursday on two separate cases of alleged forcible sexual abuse, with police saying these are not the first incidents reported.
One of the reports came from a former employee who claimed he inappropriately touched her while giving her a chiropractic adjustment in 2018, according to arrest documents. She also claimed he had touched her behind on several occasions and sent her suggestive messages.
The other alleged victim was a regular patient who was receiving adjustments for her back problems.
She contacted police in April 2025, describing similar acts of abuse, including touching her inappropriately during adjustments, according to officers. She also said he talked to her about sexual topics during a session.
Officials with the Logan City Police Department said there were similar allegations made against LeFevre in 2018, "showing a pattern of conduct putting patients at risk."
"Local law enforcement records indicate there have been previous allegations against Mr. Lefevre but that they were not prosecutable as the victims at the time were not comfortable moving forward with the investigations or due to a lack of evidence," police wrote in a statement.
Police spoke with LeFevre, who allegedly told them he does his work through "feel" with his eyes closed and is "extremely careful about being on breast."
"When asked about a time when he may have touched someone somewhere he should have not, Evan said he cannot think of a time he clearly intentionally did it. When asked if this could have happened while his eyes were closed Evan stated, 'of course it's possible because clearly it happened, but can honestly ... one hundred percent say it's not intentional,'" arrest documents state.
Police asked anyone who believes that they were sexually assaulted by LeFevre, or anyone with information, to contact the police department at 435-753-7555.

25. Former Logan chiropractor charged with 30 additional counts of sexual abuse
LOGAN — A former chiropractor previously accused of sexual abuse is facing dozens of new charges after a wave of additional women came forward to law enforcement.
Evan LeFevre, 58, was arrested Wednesday near his home in Mendon on 30 additional counts of forcible sexual abuse. The arrest follows an ongoing investigation by the Logan City Police Department and the Cache County Attorney’s Office.
LeFevre was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Cache County Jail. Each of the 30 new charges is classified as a second-degree felony.
The new allegations represent a significant expansion of the case against LeFevre, who was first arrested in December 2025. At that time, he was charged with four counts of forcible sexual abuse stemming from incidents alleged to have occurred between 2018 and 2025.
Following media coverage of the initial arrest, Logan City Police Lt. Shand Nazer said more than 45 additional women contacted the police to report inappropriate conduct by the former doctor.
"Some of these reports involved conduct that occurred outside the statute of limitations, while others involved conduct that was suspicious or inappropriate, but did not meet the legal threshold for criminal charges," Nazer stated in a press release issued Wednesday.
However, prosecutors determined there was sufficient evidence to file formal charges in 30 of the reported cases.
LeFevre formerly practiced as a chiropractor in Logan. Authorities have not released specific details regarding the nature of the new allegations or the identities of the victims, citing the sensitive nature of the ongoing investigation.
Police emphasized that their inquiry is not closed. Nazer urged anyone who believes they may have been victimized, or anyone with relevant information regarding LeFevre, to contact dispatch at (435) 753-7555.
"The Logan City Police Department remains committed to a full and complete investigation," Nazer said.
LeFevre was out of jail on $40,000 bail, under the condition that he have no contact with the alleged accusers and cease practicing as a chiropractor. He is currently being held on the new charges, pending arraignment, likely being held Friday morning in Logan’s 1st District Court.

26. Logan chiropractor faces 30 new counts of alleged forcible sexual abuse involving patients
LOGAN, Utah, Feb. 13, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Thirty new counts of forcible sexual abuse have been filed against Logan chiropractor Evan Lefevre, 58, after more than 45 women contacted police following his arrest in December.
The latest two cases, involving three counts of the second-degree felony, were filed Thursday in Logan’s 1st District Court.
The other 17 cases, carrying 27 counts, were filed Wednesday by the Cache County Attorney’s Office.
Bail was set at $300,000, according to court records.
No arraignment has been set on the new charges.
After his Dec. 12 arrest on the original four counts, court records show Lefevre posted $40,000 bail. He is scheduled for a March 2 status conference on those cases.
Logan City police arrested Lefevre Wednesday at his Mendon home on the new charges and booked him into the Cache County Jail.
Some of the alleged incidents occurred beyond the statute of limitations, police said, while others involved conduct that was suspicious and inappropriate but did not meet the legal threshold for criminal charges.
The statute of limitations for forcible sexual abuse — described as illicit sexual contact short of rape involving under-the-clothing groping of genitalia or the breasts — is eight years, according to Utah’s legislative website, le.utah.gov.
The sexual abuse alleged in the four charges filed in December is said to have taken place between 2018 and 2025. The 30 new counts allegedly occurred between 2021 and 2025.
A second-degree felony is punishable by one to 15 years in prison.
“We continue to encourage anyone who believes they may have been a victim of sexual abuse involving Mr. Lefevre, or anyone with relevant information regarding these cases, to contact us through dispatch at 435-753-7555,” police said.

27. Logan chiropractor faces charges for alleged sexual assaults
On Thursday the Logan City Police Department arrested Logan chiropractor Evan J. Lefevre, 58, on four second-degree felony counts of alleged forcible sexual abuse, all stemming from interactions which left clients feeling uncomfortable.
According to the first probable cause affidavit, a previous employee at Lefevre’s office alleged Lefevre, who routinely gave her chiropractic adjustments, had inappropriately touched her during adjustments and sent her sexual text messages in July of 2018.
When asked about the messages, Lefevre told police he did not recall the majority of the conversations, though he admitted a portion of it “obviously” referred to the male anatomy.
Another victim came to LCPD in April, alleging similar, inappropriate actions during adjustments and saying Lefevre asked her sexual questions.
The second probable cause affidavit states that the second victim alleged she told Lefevre about a book she had just finished reading, saying the book was “a lot more adult than I thought it was (going to) be,” and Lefevre responded by asking questions relating to specific sexual acts.
Referencing the statements made by both women, Lefevre told investigators he conducts adjustments based on “feel.”
“I close my eyes a lot so I think that maybe I’m leaving some exposure there because I’m not really watching what I’m doing; I’m feeling what I’m doing,” Lefevre is quoted as saying.
He further told law enforcement he could not think of a time in which he intentionally touched someone where he should not have, though admitted it was a possibility due to his practice of closing his eyes when making adjustments.
Lefevre is being held without bail.

28. Additional charges filed against Logan chiropractor accused of sexually assaulting patients
LOGAN, Utah (ABC4) — The Logan chiropractor previously charged with more than 30 felonies is again facing additional charges related to his alleged sexual abuse of patients.
Evan J. LeFevre, 58, was charged Friday with four more counts of second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse across two new cases. He was first arrested in December 2025, and in February, he was charged with 30 additional counts of forcible sexual abuse. He was booked into the Cache County Jail in December, where he is being held without bail.
PREVIOUSLY: Logan chiropractor faces dozens of new charges, accused of sexually assaulting patientsIn total, he is now facing 38 felony charges involving 23 victims, with incidents going as far back as 2018, but according to Logan City Police Department, over the course of their investigation, more that 45 women have come forward to report inappropriate conduct by LeFevre. Some of that alleged misconduct happened outside of the statute of limitations, whereas others did not meet the threshold for criminal charges.
The new allegations fit within the pattern of the previous ones, where a woman experiencing pain sought out help at LeFevre’s chiropractic practice, and during the visit, he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
In one of the new cases, the victim alleges that between February and December 2025, she went to his practice for sciatic pain and migraines. During her first two appointments, he allegedly pulled down her pants and applied lotion with his bare hands. During appointments that followed, he allegedly applied lotion on her breast with his ungloved hand.
ORIGINAL STORY: Logan chiropractor arrested on multiple incidents of sexual assaultIn the other newly filed case, the victim saw LeFevre as a patient on one occasion in the fall of 2025, where he allegedly unhooked her bra, put his hand beneath her clothes and touched her inappropriately.
The first incident reported in this case allegedly occurred in July 2018. That victim was an employee at LeFevre’s chiropractic practice, and she reported that he touched her inappropriately and sent her overtly sexual text messages.
Other victims reported similar incidents where LeFevre would put his hands under their clothes and touch them inappropriately while treating them.
He has a court hearing scheduled for Monday, March 16.
Ryan Bittan and Sorina Trauntvein contributed to this story.
Charges are allegations only. All arrested persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

29. Logan chiropractor faces 30 additional sex abuse charges
LOGAN, Utah (KUTV) — A chiropractor is facing 30 additional sex abuse charges after his initial arrest in December.
Following an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse, the Cache County Attorney's Office approved filing additional charges against Dr. Evan LeFevre, 58.
He was formally charged in 19 new cases, which include 30 counts of second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse.
According to the Logan City Police Department, 45 women came forward and contacted police to report inappropriate conduct by LeFevre after his first arrest.
Captain Shand Nazer said some of the reports were from the early 2000s, "so this conduct has been occurring over the last 25 plus years."
"Some of these reports involved conduct that occurred outside the statute of limitations, while others involved conduct that was suspicious or inappropriate, but did not meet the legal threshold for criminal charges," the police department said.
According to court documents, one of the victims claimed he "put his ungloved hand down her pants and touched her buttocks without her consent."
LeFevre was previously charged with four counts of forcible sexual abuse involving incidents from 2018 and 2025.
The police department encouraged anyone who believes they may have been a victim of LeFevre's to contact them at 435-753-7555.
"All charges are allegations at this stage," the police department reminded the community. "Mr. Lefevre is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law."

30. Few charges filed despite nearly 50 women accusing Logan chiropractor of sexual abuse
LOGAN, Utah (KUTV) — A Logan chiropractor accused of sexually abusing patients over decades is now facing dozens of felony charges, but investigators said the number of charges does not match the number of people who have come forward.
According to police, 58-year-old Evan LeFevre has now been charged with 30 additional felony counts of forcible sexual abuse after more women reported abuse.
Investigators said 45 women have come forward so far following his initial arrest last December. Authorities allege the abuse occurred over roughly 25 years at his chiropractic practice in Logan.
The case has continued to expand as more alleged victims learn about the accusations and contact police.
“I think in cases like this, people retrospectively think back and realize that something happened to them and that it wasn’t the way it was supposed to go,” said former law enforcement officer and private investigator Chris Bertram.
While nearly 50 women have reported allegations, prosecutors have filed charges tied to fewer cases so far.
Bertram said that it is not unusual in complex investigations involving many potential victims.
“In my experience, any victim where investigators believe they have enough probable cause and enough evidence to move forward with a trial will normally get charged,” Bertram said.
In some situations, investigators may still be gathering evidence related to certain allegations while prosecutors proceed with the strongest cases first.
Authorities said some of the women who reported abuse chose not to participate in criminal proceedings, which can also affect which cases are filed in court.
“With a case like this, we may see more victims coming forward,” Bertram said. “We have to be sensitive to those victims, but we also have to be diligent with the criminal justice system.”
Police said the investigation remains active and additional reports could still lead to further charges.
Anyone with information related to the case involving LeFevre is encouraged to contact investigators.

PREVIOUSLY: Additional charges filed against Logan chiropractor accused of sexually assaulting patients
LeFevre is now facing 46 felony charges across 26 separate cases. These charges stem from incidents dating back as far as 2018, against women of all ages and even minors.
The dozens of allegations mostly follow a similar pattern: a woman was experiencing pain and began going to LeFevre's chiropractic practice to seek help.
In 2023, the then-12-year-old was lying on her stomach during an appointment when her mother noticed that LeFevre allegedly slid his hands under her clothing and touched the child's buttocks.
After the appointment, the victim asked her mother, "Why did he put his hands in my pants and on my butt?" She responded that she wasn't sure because she had never been to a chiropractor before, but would not let her child go to any appointments alone.
The 12-year-old saw LeFevre a few more times, during which he only popped her back, documents say.

34. Exploring Life & Business with Evan Lefevre Dc of LeFevre Chiropractic
Today we’d like to introduce you to Evan Lefevre Dc
Hi Evan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I originally wanted to go to dental school, I became a dental lab technician and worked my way through college doing that. I had an interview at Lomalinda University Dental School in California and was told that as soon as I took the DAT test exam to contact them and I’d be able to enroll. A friend of mine got hurt at work and his boss sent him to a chiropractor for treatment, the friend asked me to go with him. Since neither he nor I had been to a chiropractor before we didn’t know what to expect. Well in that treatment he got better from the injury immediately and I was blown away. In my mind I switched to going to chiropractic school right then. I had an incredible experience in chiropractic school at Parker University, Chiropractic School, dental lab work prepared me in ways I didn’t anticipate for other incredible opportunities I had to teach Human Gross Anatomy dissection courses as a TA before graduating and then after graduating was given an opportunity to become a full time faculty member and to do the dissection for a college textbook with a professor from Baylor University. I did teach for a year but decided I really wanted to practice. My focus as a chiropractor has alway been on being an expert in my field and never worry about the money. What I found out was, for me being focused on quality of care in the long run made the money side of practice work out. 27 years later I have an incredible practice and still love going to work everyday. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I started with nothing, I just opened one day renting space and equipment from another chiropractor. It was not the easiest path, but for me the financial struggles, forced office relocations and all the ups and downs with the economy was very educational and valuable. It’s made me resilient in my daily life and has allowed me to be keep my priorities in check. I’m so grateful for my patients, but early on found out that I wanted to attract patients that aligned with me. I learned to accept the fact that I would find my people, that my patients were importantly to me and I wanted to do everything I could to make them feel better. I learned early on that when you do the right things for the right people and actually help them, they tell others about you and you just get to grow in business and in life.As you know, we’re big fans of LeFevre Chiropractic . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I have always loved being in a sports chiropractic mind set. I got involved early on in practice with snowmobile racing. I spent many years sponsoring and treating dozens of professional racers. I was given a huge opportunity to participate in the care of student athletes at our local university and became the chiropractor for the athletic department because of my sports injury proficiency. Most importantly I have participated in an organization called Pro Sport Chiropractic, and that organization their training has set me apart from others in that I have always continued to learn and develop as a practitioner it kept me progressing and developing new skills and techniques over the years. I found that to a professional athlete little things made the difference between winning and losing but for a gramma, mom or dad, etc… that same little thing was the health benefit they need to still enjoy grand kids and stay active in life. To go to work to pay mortgages and buy food. I realized that doing my best and keeping my skills at their peak actually changed peoples lives and made the world a better place. Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I believe that chiropractic is an essential part of staying healthy but more importantly a major factor in aging well. People will service their vehicles without any questions about the value of spending the money to do that service. People somehow ignore that same concept when it comes to their own health and ignore their own health and physical wellbeing. The food we eat, the environment we are in, the exercise we do especially strength training and stretching are also major components to living well. Health and longevity has to be a personal priority. I feel like chiropractic is essential part of aging well, staying healthy and feeling good for your entire life. Chiropractic can be the difference between getting by and thriving. -
