Dustin C. Ralph was a Mormon church member and returned missionary from Raymond, Alberta, and a teacher and coach in Stirling, Alberta.

Over approximately two school years between December 2009 and April 2011 he groomed three students, sending and requesting inappropriate photographs and touching one student inappropriately.

The Alberta Teachers’ Association revoked his teaching licence. At least two of the students were church members and, according to a report submitted to FLOODLIT, were intimidated into silence by a member of Ralph’s family. The report states that the successive bishops Ralph has had since 2011, and the Raymond stake presidency, all knew he had been fired for sexual misconduct with students, and that he was neither disfellowshipped nor excommunicated; leaders are said to have declined to act on the ground that the students lived in another town and had not spoken to them directly.
