(1986 – ) Dustin Scott Clouse (born 1986) was a Mormon church member and returned missionary in Springville, Utah, who held many callings including in the youth programs and attended church every week; in July 2023 he was arrested in a sting operation after messaging a person he believed to be a 13-year-old girl and going to meet her.

In July 2023 he was arrested in a sting operation after messaging a person he believed to be a 13-year-old girl and going to meet her.

About six months later, a four-year-old girl he had babysat for more than five hours came forward and disclosed that he had committed several sexual acts against her.

He was convicted and sentenced to 40 years to life in prison on three federal counts of child sexual abuse, and awaits sentencing in two further cases involving the attempted seduction of a minor. He was excommunicated at his own request shortly after his arrest. According to a sibling who reported the case, he continues to assert his innocence and to say there were no real victims.
