Galen Snelgrove (born 2000) was a Mormon church member in Orem, Utah. A person who reported the case to FLOODLIT states that they met him at a church dance when they were 14 and he concealed his age; that he repeatedly took them out of their junior high school during class hours; and that he waited until his eighteenth birthday to rape them, between April and June 2018.

She describes him as extremely violent, says he attempted to kill her on several occasions, that she still carries physical scars, and that he tried to propose to her to keep her quiet.

When she reported it to church leaders, she was told she could not take the sacrament or attend the temple until she had repented for enticing a man. She left the church. A previous bishop helped her pursue his excommunication, though she does not know whether it was completed.
