Gustavus Frederick Erpenbach (born 1979) is a Mormon church member in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, a Melchizedek priesthood holder and a temple worker. His former wife reported to FLOODLIT that during 2023 and 2024 he raped her, both violently and coercively, including a violent rape on 19 September 2023, and that for a year she woke almost nightly to find him penetrating her with his fingers despite repeated conversations about consent; after she filed for divorce she began locking the bedroom door and he picked the lock.
She recorded him on video.
She also describes financial and coercive control, and states he hid an AirTag in the wheel well of her car to track her. She sought an emergency protective order; a hearing was granted but the judge did not rule until a year after the trial and no order was made. She reports that her bishop passed her account to police after promising he would not, when she had already reported it herself and did not want the accused to learn that she had. She stopped bringing her children to church because he sat behind her and waved at them; after ward boundaries were redrawn and she later posted publicly about the abuse, a stake president met with her.
