Lathan Spencer Flake, 39, was a Mormon church member in Boise, Idaho. Detectives began investigating him on August 1, 2013 after a woman in her mid-20s reported a 1999 incident; the investigation determined he had illegal sexual contact with as many as six teenage girls, all known to him, between 1998 and 2008.

He admitted to detectives that he had illegal sexual contact with some of the girls.

He was arrested and charged with lewd conduct and has served a prison term from which he has recently been released. According to the person who reported the case, his former wife told church leaders, and he remains an active member.
