In 2010, Haws was convicted of second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse.

Haws was excommunicated from the Mormon church. He was rebaptized in or before June 2025. A June 17, 2025 Reddit post showed a photo of Haws at his baptism at a Latter-day Saint meetinghouse. The photo was originally posted on Facebook. Floodlit communicated directly with the Reddit poster and confirmed Haws’s identity.

As of March 2026, Haws lives in Lehi, Utah as a registered sex offender.

Floodlit checked Haws’ Utah sex offender registry listing on March 13, 2026. At that time, Haws was listed as “Non-compliant.”
