He was a deputy district attorney and LDS bishop and stake president in Colorado Springs Colorado. Arrested on August 30 2023 and charged with S assaulting a child for 9 years, from 2004 to 2013. Some of the alleged abuse may have taken place during McConkie’s tenure as a Mormon bishop. He was a stake president from 2016 to 2021. He is a grandson of Mormon apostle Bruce R McConkie, whose brother Oscar co-founded the church’s law firm Kirton McConkie. The Church does not protect children, and these criminals have been molesting or allowing the molestation and / or preventing recovery occur by concealing it from parents and protecting criminals.
As a result, these predators are allowed to continue to find new victims and the church sits idly by, refusing to make their misdeeds right.
