An academic researcher (a survivor herself) is seeking LDS participants to interview who have experienced patriarchal violence in the LDS Church (interpersonal/institutional or both).
– Purpose of the Study: This interdisciplinary study critically investigates the paradoxical interplay between spiritual empowerment and structural violence within the rituals/practices of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). The project ultimately aims for transformative interventions, including ritual reinterpretation and structural accountability measures, to dismantle gendered inequities while affirming the complex agency of women in sacred spaces.
– Participants must be women 18 + and not currently in litigation against the LDS Church.
– Participation involves sharing your story and insights to help initiate change.
