Case report

NOTE: FLOODLIT is currently trying to verify whether Jeff Fox was an active LDS church member at the time of his crimes or alleged crimes. We’ve kept this case report public for transparency and to aid potential victims while we investigate. If you have any information, please contact us.

Jeff Fox was a former Utah legislator and registered sex offender. In 2022, investigators allegedly found him to be in possession of child sexual abuse material, or CSAM (commonly referred to as “child pornography”), on his computer uploaded to an electronic service provider account in Utah.

At that time, Fox was already a registered sex offender who had been convicted federally for possession of CSAM. In 2013, Fox was placed on federal probation for 15 years. In 2019, his probation was terminated early for completing the terms of his sentence.

Fox served as a representative in the Utah legislature from 1977 to 1982.
