1. [ARCHIVED] Parker Police Department Arrest Scout Master for Sexual Exploitation of a Child
In January 2013, Detectives with the ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force began an investigation into the possession and distribution of child pornography near the 22000 block of Pensive Court located in the Canterberry Subdivision in Parker, Colorado.
On February 12, at approximately 12 p.m., Detectives and Officers with the Parker Police Department, with the assistance of the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office and Douglas County Pattern Crimes Unit, executed a search warrant on the home where numerous items of evidence were seized including digital images of unknown child victims.
Detectives identified 30 year old Brian David Robbins, DOB 05-07-82, as the person responsible for the possession and distribution of child pornography. Robbins was arrested and transported to the Douglas County Detention Facility. He was booked on two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child and is currently being held on a $50,000 bond.
During the course of the investigation it was discovered that Robbins is a Scout Master for a Boy Scout troop in the Parker area. This is an ongoing investigation and no other information is being released.
The Parker Police Department is a member of the national Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, which is funded by a grant from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Parents are reminded to monitor their children’s online activity.

2. Parker Boy Scout leader arrested for sexual exploitation of a child
PARKER, Colo. — “It’s definitely disturbing,” said Gary Mallory, who lives just two doors down from Brian David Robbins, the Parker man charged with collecting child pornography. “I don’t know what to think.”
Robbins was arrested Tuesday, after Parker Police served a warrant at his house and removed “numerous” pieces of evidence against the 30-year-old, who has been identified as a Scout Master for a Boy Scouts of America troop based in Parker.
“This is why I’m in law enforcement, to catch predators like this,” said Officer Dawn Cashman, of the Parker Police Department.

Officer Cashman says there is no indication that Robbins made the pornography or that any Boy Scouts were victims, though she says investigators are still searching through his data and may add more charges against him depending on what they find.
In a statement, Joe Farrell, a spokesman for the Denver Council of the Boy Scouts of America told us that Robbins had been a Scout Master for several years, but was banned once the group received word of the allegations against him.
“Abuse of anyone especially a child is intolerable, and our thoughts and prayers go out to those who may be a victim of this type of reprehensible behavior,” Farrell said over the phone. “The behavior included in these allegations run counter to everything for which the Boy Scouts of America stands.”
Farrell refused to identify the specific troop to which Robbins belonged, but says the Denver Council has reached out to parents of those scouts to let them know about the incident.
As of 10 p.m. Wednesday, Brian Robbins remains in Douglas County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
