UPDATE: Floodlit initially published his case report in 2023. We later unpublished this case report after evaluating it, primarily because he was a minor at the time of some or all of his alleged crimes. We have received new information and have decided to publish this case report again. One reason for this decision was the fact that Lara was tried for these sex crimes when he was 28 years old.

Cody Lara was a member of the LDS church who was extradited from Idaho to Pinal County, Arizona in 2018. He was accused of sexual abuse somewhere between the ages of 12-14, to a 6-7 year old girl, who was a family member. He was found guilty of:
