LOGAN — A 22-year-old Providence man has been charged with rape and is under investigation for at least three other alleged sexual assaults, according to law enforcement.
Cameron Michael Dahle was charged last week in Logan’s 1st District Court with first-degree felony rape in connection with an alleged assault in March 2021. According to the charges, Dahle took a "highly intoxicated" 17-year-old girl into a bedroom at a party and raped her, ignoring her repeated pleas to "stop." The girl told police Dahle told her to "shut up" and continued until she vomited.
The charges also state that investigators are looking into allegations from three other women against Dahle, with claims dating back to 2016. Additional charges could be filed based on the ongoing investigation.
According to court documents, the alleged victim from the party was later contacted by another girl who claimed to have also been raped by Dahle. This prompted the first victim to speak with police. The second alleged victim reported being raped by Dahle in a car in June 2020. A third woman, who was 15 at the time, said she was sexually assaulted by Dahle on a date in 2019. A fourth woman came forward after seeing a social media post, alleging Dahle sexually assaulted her in 2016 when she was 13.
Prosecutors said that even if additional charges are not filed, the other alleged victims' testimonies could be used in the current case. Dahle is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 25.
