Aurell Hatch was a Mormon church member in Highland, Utah.
Hatch was convicted in 2001 via plea agreement of one second-degree felony count of attempted sex abuse of a child (later amended to a third-degree felony).
Hatch was sentenced to 90 days in jail and granted work diversion.
Hatch was also placed on 24 months of probation.
Hatch died in 2015.
From Hatch’s obituary: “Aurell married [his wife] in the Manti Temple on June 25, 1959. They were married 56 years.”
