  John Franklin Jones, 55, Cedar City, convicted of first degree felony forcible sodomy, at his Oct. 21 hearing, was granted a rehearing for March 1992 following his Oct. 21 Board of Pardons hearing. Jones is currently serving a 5 years to life prison sentence.

  John served honorably in the Armed forces and he loved to talk about his time overseas whenever he got the chance. He loved his country and he was proud to have served in the Army. He also was able to serve diligently in many areas of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He held an honorable calling up until January 2020 at the bishop's storehouse.
