James Chapman, AKA Jim Chapman, was an LDS church member in Utah.
Chapman was convicted twice of crimes related to child sexual abuse.

From Chapman’s obituary: “When asked what he would tell his younger self, he said, ‘Set goals and work to achieve them, be honest with yourself, study the scriptures (especially the Book of Mormon, which I love), gain a firm testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and never deviate from your vows.'”
Chapman was a missionary for the LDS church for two years in the Southern States mission.
In 1958, Chapman was in the stake MIA (Mutual Improvement Association) presidency of his LDS stake.
Chapman was married in the Salt Lake Temple in 1958.
Chapman was excommunicated from the Mormon church and later rebaptized.
