Dennis Chadwick (1939 – 2023) was a Mormon church member in Utah; convicted in 1999 of multiple felonies related to child sexual abuse and sentenced to six months in jail and three years of probation; required to register as a sex offender; in 2013, convicted of failure to register as a sex offender; sentenced to three months in jail and one year of probation; died in 2023.

In 1999, Dennis Chadwick of Utah was convicted (via a plea agreement) of one second-degree felony count of sexual exploitation of a minor and one third-degree felony count of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Five other charges were dropped as a result of the plea deal. Prison terms were suspended, and Chadwick was sentenced to 180 days in jail and 36 months of probation. He was also required to register as a sex offender.

In 2013, Chadwick was charged with and convicted of one Class A misdemeanor count of failure to register as a sex offender. He was sentenced to one year in jail, with 275 days suspended. He was therefore ordered to serve 90 days in jail. He was also sentenced to 12 months of probation.

Chadwick’s 2023 obituary says, “He went on a mission to Pennsylvania and New York and was part of the Hill Cumorah Pageant.”
