Roy Winmill (1951 – ) was a Mormon church member, returned missionary and youth leader in Layton, Utah, who served in the Tokyo, Japan mission; accepted a plea deal under which the charge was reduced from lewdness against a minor to lewdness, was sentenced on 16 December 2025, and was due to report to jail on 1 January 2026 (Utah case 231600811).

The P.C. Affidavit states Winmill was charged were LEWDNESS INVOLVING A CHILD. It also states Winmill told police an 8-year-old child asked him to dance naked.  In a forensic interview the child stated they were in the bathroom and Winmill came in and exposed himself to them.

The court documents show an amended plea deal to LEWDNESS.  They also show there were protective orders filed for 4 children.

He accepted a plea deal under which the charge was reduced from lewdness against a minor to lewdness, was sentenced on 16 December 2025, and was due to report to jail on 1 January 2026 (Utah case 231600811).

Winmill was sentenced to a term of 180 day(s) in the Davis County Jail. The total time suspended for this charge is 178 day(s).
