Samuel Craig Doxey (born 1952) is a Mormon church member and returned missionary in Orem, Utah, who served as an assistant ward clerk and as a ward organist. In the autumn of 1994 he abused a neighbourhood boy of 12 or 13, and knowingly transported a minor in interstate commerce from Salt Lake City, Utah to San Francisco, California with the intent that the minor engage in unlawful sexual activity.

He was arrested and charged, pleaded guilty that year, and served one year in prison.

He was excommunicated and placed on the sex offender registry. He then completed the church’s repentance process, was rebaptised and eventually had his priesthood restored. He came off the sex offender registry in about 2018, and the annotation on his church membership record was removed in 2021. The person who reported the case states that since then he has repeatedly invited families with young boys to activities, and that he has behaved troublingly around adolescents for decades. He has never married and has no children.
