Weston Tyler Smith is a Mormon church member from Chubbuck, Idaho. In 2025, aged 35, he was charged in Bannock County with one felony count of lewd conduct with a minor under sixteen, carrying a possible life sentence, for conduct in 2020 when the victim was between 13 and 15 years old.

The victim disclosed the assault to an LDS bishop, initially denying abuse when he asked and later telling him what had happened; the bishop then made a report to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s Children and Family Services.

Smith had previously faced four felony counts of lewd conduct in a separate case involving a different victim; those charges were dismissed, and the reasons have not been made public.
