Benjamin Alyk was an LDS church member from Utah and a missionary in Dominican Republic; confessed to making child sexual abuse material (CSAM); LDS church leaders allegedly knew about but did not report his criminal behavior to law enforcement.

According to news reports, Alyk claimed he told multiple LDS church officials and even appeared before a disciplinary council. He turned himself in to police in 2018. He pleaded guilty to six counts of voyeuristic image distribution and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
