Case Summary

Kent Hansen was an LDS member and dentist in Spanish Fork, Utah.  Was accused and a civil suit brought against him and his brother,  for receiving sexual favors from a patient in return writing prescriptions for narcotics between 1986-1988.  The Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing suspended Kent Hansen’s license for 120 days

“[Kent] Hansen and his twin brother, Brent [Hansen], have been accused of sexual misconduct, incompetency, over-prescribing drugs and fraudulent Medicaid billing in a petition issued by the state Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing in August 1989.” (Deseret News)

Kent Hansen and Brent Hansen sued the same patient that they exchanged sexual favors for for slander.  The judge ruled in favor of the Hansen twins, and awarded them $1. (This sum is not a typo).
