Case report

Chad Kaye Robertson was a LDS church member in Parowan, Utah.  Accused of having unlawful sexual activity with a 16/17 year old boy. Chad was an assistant basketball coach at the minor’s school.  According to the police affidavit the minor created a profile on an adult encounter website and lied about his age to do so.  Allegedly the two met and engaged in sexual activities.  Once Robertson saw the minor in high school and realized the minor was underage, Robertson allegedly continued their sexual relationship.  The police affidavit also states that the minor believes he contracted a Sexually Transmitted Disease from Robertson.

In June 2024, Robertson was sentenced to one year in the Iron County Jail, with credit for time served, and four years of probation.
