Joseph Durborow was an LDS member in Orem, Utah. Durborow was photographer who ran photography business from his home. He was found to have hidden cameras that filmed minors getting changed. Investigators learned one of the victims he took CSAM photos of was a foster child that was in Durborow’s care. He was Convicted 08/29/2003 and sentenced to 10 years for a federal crime of international child pornography ring. Was also convicted state court on 09/11/2003 for the sexual abuse of 3 girls.     PROVO, Utah (AP) -- An Orem man already serving a 10-year federal prison term for his involvement in an international child pornography ring, has been sentenced to state prison on charges relating to the sexual abuse of three girls.

    Joseph Paul Durborow, 42, appeared Tuesday before 4th District Judge Steven Hansen, who ordered him to serve three years to life for three first-degree felonies of attempted aggravated sexual abuse of a child and one to 15 years for two second-degree felonies of sexual abuse of a child.

    Durborow was sentenced in federal court Aug. 27 for child exploitation and child pornography distribution. He will serve his state sentence concurrently with the federal sentence, all in federal prison.

    Durborow waived time for sentencing after pleading guilty Tuesday so all his charges could be dealt with in one hearing, Sturgill said.

    The quick resolution prevents the state from having to take him out of federal custody or dismiss the charges until his release and then refile, defense attorney Gunda Jarvis said. "We worked out a deal so that the state would not have to get him out of federal custody," she said.

    As part of his federal sentence, U.S. District Judge Paul Cassell ordered Durborow to enter a treatment program.

    Durborow ran a photo business, Joseph Paul Photography, out of his Orem home. In connection with that business, he posted nonpornographic pictures of children on his Internet site.

    Investigators linked Durborow to the pornography ring when they matched one of the explicit child images to a child on Durborow's Web site. The girl in both pictures was one of Durborow's 10 foster children.

    Police found Durborow used his photo business as a front for photographing children in sexually explicit poses. This included setting up a hidden video camera to film minors changing their clothing.
