Matthew Scott Patton was an LDS member in Ogden, Utah that was charged with 7 charges against him for violence and sexual abuse of an adult woman. He was found guilty of AGGRAVATED BURGLARY – 1st Degree Felony and FORCIBLE SEXUAL ABUSE second degree felony.

According to a Floodlit source, Matthew locked the victim in his bathroom, while young children were in the home and sexually abused her. Its been reported also that once he was released from prison he crossed state lines in attempt to find his ex-wife who was in hiding. Which is when he led the police on a high speed car chase after being pulled over and police seeing he had a warrant out for his felony. He then jumped out of his vehicle and charged the police with two knives in hand. He was shot dead.
