Alfred Forrester was a Mormon church member in California.

Forrester was excommunicated in the 1950s after conviction for child molestation, according to a 2024 California lawsuit against the LDS church.

Forrester moved to Iowa, reoffended and was incarcerated.

After returning to California, Forrester was convicted once or twice more, then assigned to be a Mormon church scoutmaster.

Forrester abused again, was caught and sentenced to prison in 1979.

The 2024 lawsuit alleged that a bishop failed to protect children.

We don’t know whether Forrester was ever re-baptized into the Mormon church.

    LAKEPORT - Alfred Gail Forrester, 42, was sentenced to eight years in state prison by Judge John Golden Tuesday after he pleaded guilty on a grand jury indictment charging him with lewd and lascivious sex acts involving a boy under the age of fourteen years.

    Forrester, who was the Scoutmaster of a Boy Scout troop In Lower Lake, repeatedly performed illegal sex acts with several of the youngsters in his troop during 1977 and 1978, according to the indictment.

    Forrester had been convicted of similar offenses in Ventura County for which he was committed to Atascadero State Hospital, and was convicted of similar offenses in Iowa and was imprisoned for four years in the lowa State Prison.

    He was later convicted of the same crime in Santa Clara County and was committed to prison.
