James Kersey Sr. (1958 – ) was a Mormon church member in Eastman, Georgia; arrested Jan. 23, 2026 and charged with computer child exploitation / felony and computer pornography / felony.

James Richard Kersey Sr. “Jim” was a Mormon church member in Eastman, Georgia.  Kersey allegedly perpetrated a sex crime and has been arrested by Dodge Count Sheriffs Office, and booked Jan. 23, 2026.

Dodge County Sheriff posted Kersey was CHARGED WITH:

-computer child exploitation / felony

-computer pornography / felony

As of October 2026 Georgia Court Records show Kersey was charged with 70 charges all COMPUTER PORNOGRAPHY.

According to someone familiar with Kersey Sr. he has had the following church callings: Bishopric counselor, Sunday school teacher, primary teacher, Ward mission leader and elders quorum counselor.  They also stated Kersey Sr. has been the ward Santa Clause for the last 10 years.  In addition, they say Kersey Sr. also has been hired to be Santa Claus for various organizations in the area.

According to another source familiar with “Jim” in a written communication they reported “THEY KNEW ABOUT JIM THE WHOLE TIME! THEY KNEW! THE LDS CHURCH!” They also reported that Jim attends the same ward as two other convicted sex offenders, both listed in the FLOODLIT database, Dustin Jay Whitener and Dylan Hitchcock.
