Lisa Davis was a Mormon church member in Othello, Washington and school teacher at Othello Elementary School, who was convicted of a sex crime in 2012.
Davis pleaded guilty to first degree child molestation, abusing a 10-year-old boy student.
Davis was sentenced to 51 months in prison, all but 12 months were suspended. Davis was recommended for the Sex Offender Sentencing Alternative known as SOSA. Davis was also ordered to register as a sex offender
As of June 2026 Lisa Davis does not appear on the Washington State sex offender list.
Public records indicate that Davis lives in Kennewick, Washington.

1. Former Othello Elementary School Teacher Lisa Davis Sentenced for Child Molestation
ADAMS CO, WA - A former Othello elementary school teacher has been sentenced after pleading guilty to first degree child molestation.
48-year-old Lisa Davis was sentenced to 12 months in jail, including a comprehensive Sex Offender Sentencing Alternative known as SOSA.
The judge agreed to suspend all but 12 months in the 51 month to life sentence prosecutors recommended if Davis qualified for SOSA. Davis will also have to register as a sex offender when out of jail.
The former Scootney Springs Elementary teacher pled guilty to the first degree child molestation after prosecutors and her defense attorney struck a deal.
A reporter at our sister station in Spokane says Lisa Davis addressed the court saying, "I have spent my entire life helping others. It's a crushing feeling to know I have failed." She also stated to the court, "I take full responsibility for my actions. I am very sorry."
No o victim's statements were read during the sentencing Monday and no family members of the victim's side were even in court.

RITZVILLE, Wash. (AP) - Forty-eight-year-old Othello teacher Lisa Davis is accused of molesting a 10-year-old boy.
She resigned last month and was charged last week in Adams County Superior Court with child molestation.
The website iFiber One News reports Davis has been a teacher for 14 years and taught at Scootney Elementary School.
Police said the fifth-grader was molested in a classroom and at home belonging to a friend of Davis.

3. Othello Elementary School Teacher Charged with Child Molestation
OTHELLO, Wash. - Formal charges have been filed in the child molestation investigation of an Othello school teacher.
The Adams County prosecutor has filed formal charges against Lisa Davis, a 5th grade teacher at Scootney Springs Elementary accused of committing sex crimes against one of her 10-year-old male students.
Davis has been charged with one count of first degree child molestation. Othello Police had recommended Davis be charged with two counts of first degree child molestation.
Davis will make her first court appearance on Monday July 29nd in Adams County.
According to Othello Police, Davis was under investigation since May 30th when complaints were reported to police that she sexually molested one of her students. After completing an investigation, police forwarded their findings on the Adams County Prosecutor. Police say Davis and the 10 year old victim are not related.
School district officials say Davis resigned her position in early June. The school board approved her resignation on June 24th

ADAMS COUNTY -- A 48-year-old female teacher at an Othello elementary school is accused of inappropriate behavior with a 10-year-old boy, the Spokesman Review reported.
According to the Review, Lisa Davis is accused of touching a boy who was reading in her class. Davis faces one count of first-degree child molestation in Adams County court. Her arraignment is scheduled for Monday.
An investigation into the alleged molestation began May 30 after initial reports of inappropriate touching surfaced. Davis, who teaches fifth and third grade classes, has worked with the Othello school district for 16 years.

5. NEW DETAILS: Othello School Teacher Admits To Sexual Relationship With Student
OTHELLO, Wash. - We're learning more details about the Othello teacher sex scandal. Lisa Davis said the 10-year-old boy made her feel 'beautiful, wealthy & popular,' according to a 130 page police report obtained by KHQ.
Davis is facing 1st degree child molestation charges after police say she carried on a relationship with one of her 10-year-old male students. According to the police report Davis and the boy began their relationship in late 2012.
Police say the relationship started when the boy began staying late after school with Davis. After time went on police say Davis took the boy to movies and carried on a "friend" like relationship. Police believe there were at least 3 "touching" incidents between the boy & Davis in her classroom and at a home Davis was house-sitting.
According to the police report Davis' husband brought the alleged conduct to the attention of a school counselor. Dan Davis, Lisa's husband, is also an educator in the district. Police say Davis' husband suspected something inappropriate was going on when he noticed his wife spending a lot of time with the victim.
According to the police report Davis eventually admitted to her family she had an inappropriate relationship with the boy. Police interviewed one of Davis' adult children who told them, "mom said the relationship started off innocently, then it moved from a plutonic relationship to including inappropriate contact."
KHQ has reached out to Davis several times. A person answered the phone number listed for Davis saying this was no longer her number. KHQ also stopped at her home twice in Othello, both times no one came to the door. It's not known if Davis has hired an attorney. Davis will make her first appearance in Adams County Court to face 1st degree child molestation charges Monday July 29th.

Police would not say if Davis has been suspended from her teaching position or if she is still employed. The case is now in the hands of the Adams county prosecutor to determine a final charging decision.
Statement from Othello Superintendent:
On May 30, 2013, the District received information indicating possible inappropriate conduct between a teacher and a student.
The District notified the Othello Police Department the same day and the OPD began conducting an investigation.
The teacher was also place on administrative leave May 30 pending results of the police investigation and any follow-up District investigation.
Ms. Davis submitted her resignation from the District on June 18, 2013 and the Board of Directors approved resignation on June 24, 2013.
Since the police investigation found grounds to believe inappropriate conduct with a student occurred, the District will notify the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction so it may investigate the possibility of action affecting her teaching certificate.
The District is not making any further comments at this time to respect the privacy interests of the student and family.

6. Ex-teacher pleads guilty to molesting 10-year-old boy
OTHELLO, Wash. (AP) - A woman who worked as a teacher in Othello pleaded guilty Monday to molesting a 10-year-old boy.
Lisa Davis pleaded guilty to child molestation in a deal with Adams County prosecutors who agreed to a four-year prison sentence. Since she has no criminal record, she may qualify for a three-year rehabilitation program for sex offenders with the prison time reduced to one year.
She'll be sentenced Oct. 28.
KREM reports Davis was placed on administrative leave after she was accused in July, and she later resigned.
The Othello School District said the inappropriate conduct began around May 30 with the boy in her reading class at Scootney Springs Elementary School. Investigators said she also took the boy to a movie.
Another teacher alerted school administrators.
