Kevin Lee Davis was a Mormon and retired Utah Highway Patrol trooper in Washington, Utah in 2011.
KSL reported Davis was caught sexually abusing a female child and was turned in by his own son, and that the abuse took place after he retired. Davis threatened to harm himself and was taken to a hospital. 11-22-2011 He was charge with five counts of sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony. Three weeks later he was charged with two misdemeanor charges of lewdness involving a child.

1. Former UHP trooper arrested in child sex abuse case
WASHINGTON — A retired Utah Highway Patrol trooper was charged Tuesday with aggravated sexual abuse of a child.
Kevin Lee Davis, 60, was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail Monday for investigation of aggravated sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14, Ed Kantor with the Washington City Department of Public Safety said.
Davis was subsequently charged Tuesday in 5th District Court with five counts of sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony.
Davis' son discovered the abuse and the alleged victim reported that the abuse had gone on for three years, the charges state.
After the abuse was discovered, Davis "threatened to harm himself" and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. He later admitted to inappropriately touching the victim, according to the charges.
A spokesman for the Utah Department of Public Safety confirmed Davis is a former trooper and said the man ended his employment in 2004. He did not elaborate as to why.
A family member reported that Davis later resisted arrest and barricaded himself in a shed, but was arrested without incident following the standoff. Kantor would not confirm the report, saying such information was "not relevant" to the case.
Davis is being held in the Washington County Jail on $100,000 bond.

3. Washington City man arrested for sexual abuse of a child
WASHINGTON CITY – On Monday, November 21, 2011, Kevin Lee Davis, age 60 of Washington, Utah was arrested and booked into the Washington County jail on five counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child under the age of fourteen.
The charges stemmed from an alleged incident which occurred over the course of approximately the last two years in Washington City.
