Cade Boyle (2004 – ) was a Mormon church member in Lehi, Utah; convicted February 2026 of five counts ENTICEMENT OF A MINOR a 1st degree felony and six counts of SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF A MINOR a 2nd degree felony; sentenced to 1-15 years for each count; all prison terms to be served concurrent; is an inmate in the Utah Department of Corrections as of February 2026.

Cade Hilton Boyle was a Mormon in Lehi, Utah.  Boyle was charged in November 2025 with 26 various accounts related to child sexual abuse.

According to the P.C. Affidavit Boyle admitted to being sent home early from his mission in Hawaii for inappropriate conversations with a 15 year old.  According to his Facebook page it confirms he served an LDS mission in Hawaii.

Here is a quote from the P.C. Affidavit:

“During his interview Cade expressed that he had an issue with speaking to children. While he was serving an religious mission in Hawaii he had stared an inappropriate conversation with a 15 year old and his religious leaders had to send him home for his actions in Hawaii.”

October 25, 2025, a special victim detective with Lehi police became aware of information regarding Boyle chatting online with a 12-year-old girl.  The girl’s parents submitted the information to the police, with suspected grooming.  However, no charges could be brought against Boyle at that time.

October 29, 2025 detectives set up an online undercover chat as a 13-year-old girl that contacted? Boyle.  Boyle initially stated he was 21 and too old for the undercover 13-year-old.  The chat turned sexual and Boyle and the undercover 13-year-old decided to meet that night for a drive up American Fork Canyon and he stated he would bring yellow roses and condoms.  Police went to Boyle’s home and arrested him.

Boyle was charged November 3, 2025 with 26 various counts against him.  Those charges were originally in Provo and were transferred to American Fork, on November 4, 2025.

The P.C. Affidavit requested no bail for Boyle with the following statement:

“No bail consideration:
Cade has self-admitted to having a issue with attraction to young children. This case started because he was grooming a live child at the age of (12). If released with his constant need for attention for young females he will seek it out as he has done so multiple times. I request that Cade with his desire for children be held without bail until his trail. Should he be released I fear that he will continue on this path of self-pleasure at the expense of the children of Utah.”

 

February 4, 2026 was convicted:

-Fivecounts : ENTICING A MINOR – FIRST DEGREE FELONY

-Six counts : SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF A MINOR – 2nd Degree Felony

 

SENTENCE:

-Five counts : ENTICING A MINOR – FIRST DEGREE FELONY/ 1-15 years for each count

-Six counts : SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF A MINOR – 2nd Degree Felony/ 1-15 for each count

ALL prison terms are to run concurrent.

Boyle is an inmate in the Utah Department of Corrections as of February 2026.

    LEHI, Utah (ABC4) — A Lehi man has been sentenced to prison for enticing minors on social media and possessing child sexual exploitation material (CSAM).

    Cade Hilton Boyle, 22, pleaded guilty to five counts of enticing a minor and six counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, all second-degree felonies. 15 additional felony charges were dismissed with prejudice.

    On Feb. 3, Boyle was sentenced to eleven terms of 1 to 15 years in Utah State Prison for each of his second-degree felony charges. These sentences are to run concurrently, meaning they will be served at the same time.

    The court also recommended that Boyle complete the sex offense treatment program before he is eventually released from prison.

    Background

    Boyle was initially charged with seven counts of enticing a minor and 19 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, both second-degree felonies.

    According to court documents, on Oct. 25, 2025, a detective with the Lehi Police Department began investigating a case where a 21-year-old man was chatting with a 12-year-old girl on Instagram. The 12-year-old’s parents turned the conversation over to the police and stated that they discovered the chats before Boyle and the child were able to meet.

    There was not enough evidence to confirm a crime had occurred, but the detective was concerned about the behavior. Days later, he contacted Boyle with an account posing as a 13-year-old girl on Instagram.

    The conversation between them progressed, and the two made plans to meet in person and go for a drive up American Fork Canyon, documents say. Boyle promised to bring yellow roses and condoms for the child. An hour before the planned meeting time, police say that he stopped responding to the undercover account.

    Police responded to Boyle’s residence to arrest him for enticing a minor. When they arrived, he allegedly said he knew that officers were there because he was talking with a 13-year-old online, and that he knew it was wrong.

    During that interview, Boyle admitted that he had “an issue with speaking to children,” police say. He allegedly disclosed to police that while serving a religious mission in Hawaii, he started an “inappropriate conversation with a 15-year-old” and was sent home by religious leaders.

    Boyle further stated that he had purchased the yellow roses for the 13-year-old, but “felt” that he shouldn’t meet with the child, and was going to bring them to his mother instead. Documents say he also admitted to visiting the dark web to view CSAM.

    Search warrants were ordered for Boyle’s vehicle and phone. Inside his vehicle, police located the bouquet of yellow roses. On Boyle’s cell phone, 19 files of CSAM depicting young children were located, according to police.

    On 10/30/25 a 21-year-old male was arrested after he started an inappropriate online conversation with a child in Lehi. Thankfully the child’s parents caught on to the conversation and turned it over to SVU/ICAC Investigators before the situation progressed to an actual meeting between the suspect and the child.
    An SVU/ICAC Investigator began an online conversation with the suspect, indicating that she was a 13-year-old child. The suspect and the Investigator messaged back and forth until the suspect turned the conversation sexual. At that point the suspect stated that he wanted to meet the 13-year-old child (boy, did he have a surprise awaiting him) at a school in Lehi. The plan was to pick the child up, take her to a secluded location and do the sexual activities that he had described in their online conversations.
    SVU/ICAC Investigators intercepted the suspect while he was enroute to the school to meet with what he believed to be the 13-year-old. He was booked into the Utah County Jail on crimes related to the investigation.
    While we have posted about numerous individuals travelling to Lehi to meet and engage in these activities, this case is one that we can credit the parents of the child with doing what it takes to protect their child from a predator that didn't have to travel too far for the meeting.
    The Lehi City Police Department as a whole and the SVU/ICAC Team remain committed to the safety of all its residents, but we are especially proud to help, along with parents and other family members, protect the most valuable and vulnerable of our community.
    Please have the hard conversations with your children about the dangers of online chatting and please make sure they know that it is never wise to meet these online individuals in person or alone. It doesn't matter what site, if it has a chatting feature, rest assured, there are predators lurking and seeking to do harm.
