  LAYTON — A man who allegedly tried to engage in sexual activity with a teen girl was arrested after showing up at the arranged meeting location with a consent form, according to police.

  Adam Robert Dimond, 31, of Farmington, was arrested Nov. 29 for investigation of enticing a minor, and charged in 2nd District Court on Friday with the same crime, a second-degree felony.

  According to a Davis County Jail report, a Layton police officer working with the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force posed as a 13-year-old girl on the app Whisper. The undercover officer struck up a conversation with Dimond, who said he wanted to engage in sexual activity with her, the report states.

  When Dimond arrived at the arranged meeting location, he was arrested by officers who were waiting for him.

  "In his car was a document that he made that was a consent to have sex form," the report states.

  According to a search warrant affidavit filed in 2nd District Court, investigators were also looking at his cell phone for possible "other crimes involving children."

  A man expecting to have sex with a 13-year-old brought a ‘consent form’ for the young girl to sign, police say.

  Adam Robert Dimond, 31, allegedly thought he was meeting a underage girl in Farmington, Utah in late November – but it turned out to be an FBI agent conducting a undercover sting.

  Dimond later admitted that he believed he was texting a 13-year-old girl and ‘thought about engaging in sexual acts with her,’ police say.

  ‘In his car was a document that he made that was a consent to have sex form,’ said police reports.

  According to search warrants, investigators were looking also looking at his cell phone for possible ‘other crimes involving children.’

  Dimond believed that met the girl, who was actually an FBI agent sending ‘sexual’ messages, on the anonymous messaging app Whisper.

  The legal age for consent in Utah is 16, which means that a 13-year-old girl’s signature would mean nothing a consent form.

  He was charged with one count of enticing a minor by internet or text, which is a second-degree felony.

  Dimond later posted a $10,000 bond and was released from Davis County Jail.

  His next court date has not been set.

  Police arrested another man in the same undercover sting operation.

  Angus Logan Clark, 21, faces enticing a minor by internet or text, as well.

  The same agent pretending to be a 13-year-old girl lured Clark with messages on Whisper, according to police.

  When Clark arrived to the location he believed the girl to be at, he was arrested by officers waiting for him.

  According to charging documents, he told police he was meeting a 13-year-old girl for sex and brought a condom.

  He was held on $10,000 bond in Davis County Jail.

  A MAN who allegedly expected to have sex with a 13-year-old brought a consent form for her to sign, police say.

  Adam Robert Dimond, 31, is accused of trying to groom the girl – who was actually an undercover FBI agent.

  He later admitted that he believed he was texting a child and “thought about engaging in sexual acts with her”, according to cops in Utah, USA, the Standard Examiner reported.

  A police report seen by Deseret News said: “In his car was a document that he made that was a consent to have sex form.”

  And according to search warrants, investigators analysed Dimond’s mobile phone for possible “other crimes involving children”.

  Dimond allegedly believed he was chatting to the child – who was actually an FBI agent sending “sexual” messages – on the anonymous messaging app Whisper.

  He was arrested at an address in Farmington, Utah, and he allegedly handed over the apparent “consent form”.

  The legal age for consent in Utah is 16 – which would render any consensual sex contract useless.

  He has been charged with one count of enticing a minor by internet or text.

  Dimond posted an £8,000 bail and was released from Davis County Jail on Friday.

  His next court date has not been set.

  Police also arrested a second man as part of the same undercover operation.

  Angus Logan, 21, is also accused of enticing a minor by internet or text.

  He too had messaged the same agent allegedly believing them to be a 13-year-old girl on Whisper, police say.

  Investigators claim he brought a condom to an address where he thought he was meeting the child for sex – but cops were waiting for him.

  He has been held in Davis County Jail ahead of his next court date.
