Jeffrey Dee Call (born 1965) is a Mormon church member and returned missionary who served in Finland. He held callings as a bishopric counselor, Young Men’s president, elders quorum president, Sunday school president, gospel doctrine teacher, Primary worker and ward executive secretary, and was involved in Boy Scouts and Young Men for most of that period.
An adult child of his reported to FLOODLIT that between 1997 and 2015, in Sacramento, California and Henderson, Nevada, he groomed and abused boys in his ward and in his extended family, fostered only boys and handled their bathing and bedtimes, worked in residential facilities for troubled youth aged 12 to 18, and took part in a Big Brother mentoring program in St George, Utah.
In 1997 he was found with two young cousins, aged five and seven, in a shower; his own sister reported this to his bishop, and the response was that he needed therapy or help. He persuaded leaders he was fine and would get help. He was imprisoned in 2015 after four of his children came forward together. According to the report, a bishop in West Valley, Utah referred the matter to the stake president, and a counselor in the stake presidency excommunicated him but also visited him, gave him money from his own pocket, and attended one of his parole hearings.
